Every time I go for a walk; absolutely every time; I hear and see so many reasons to feel grateful for so many aspects of my life!

Apart from being aware of nature and its incredible effect on me because I am so aware of what's around me; my butt gets kicked every day by seeing people who are struggling to even walk, or breath, or see, or hear .... and here's me able to do all of those things!

This morning, a friend walked past me, but didn't know it was me 'cause she'd just had a massive tumour removed from her forehead and eye-socket; and can't see properly; and has to go back into another hospital this week to have her entire eye removed; as the cancer has spread right through her head and brain.

Other than caring for what I'd just been told, my first thought was, "How lucky am I" ?

I'm hoping that life is being good to you ...

Exploring means taking risks!

Dreaming means to get outside all of the boundaries that you've been taught about 'being safe'; and daring to think outside the square!

Discovering is when you combine exploring with dreaming; and actually find that elusive destination that everyone else thought was out of reach!

So dare to take those necessary risks; and find the winds that will take you to where you want to be!

Throw away hesitation and procrastination; just do it; you'll be glad that you did!

Enthusiasm ... we can see it; feel it; and sometimes even taste it in the air; when someone else is has it! But what about when we want it; miss it; desire to have it; ... desperately need it?

What is it; where is it; how do we find it when we need it?

It is attitude ... pure energy; and it is an inner thing that some of us can tap into all the time; but others have to work hard to even slightly experience it!

Without it - life's challenges become almost impossible!

Without it - great things are simply out of reach - not achievable!

Without it - it is far too easy to continually think and feel - "what's the point"?

It is an inner feeling that is driven by the desire to achieve; and is usually one of those things that we've been taught to do from childhood; of course we can do it!

Those of us who struggle with it have also been taught from childhood to not get too excited about anything; 'cause it probably won't happen; so don't get your hopes up.

Sound or feel familiar?

Then it's time to challenge that inner voice that tells you to not get excited; and summon your courage to lift your expectations and show the enthusiasm anyway!

Because ... nothing great was ever achieved without it!

That is so right ... courage is not about obvious signs of visibly roaring out loud; courage is usually hidden and quite deep within ourselves! Others are aware of it; they just know that we have it; we don't have to 'put it on display' ... it is a knowing that people have about us!
It is often the hardest bit of ourselves to be aware of, and acknowledge to ourselves!
Not unlike any personal change that we go through; we are often the last to see it, or even know that we've achieved it!
Everyone else knows; and sees it; but we are often unaware of our own achievements at personal development levels.
Best example: we get a new puppy; we are with the puppy every day; someone who we haven't seen for 3 months shows up and comments on the puppy .... "wow - hasn't Snoopy grown since we saw him last"!
We haven't really noticed the growth; not really ... it's just happening.
Courage, and our own personal growth, are often similar; we are often the last ones to see and feel it.

Be more aware; praise and acknowledge 'self'; reward yourself for your various levels of achievement. And, stay aware of your own courage; which may not be roaring to the world as an obvious part of who you are; but it is an essential part of your character!

Even though there may be days when you feel that facing the day with the spirit of a child is impossible; it is one of those challenges that when faced head-on - will reap you rewards beyond your wildest dreams!

Yes ... displaying that spirit of eagerness and adventure and certainty - will allow you to conquer the day; and allow you to create absolute miracles in what you achieve!

Allow yourself to play; to take risks; to abandon any fears and doubts; and your greatest thrill will be when you learn that you can develop a 'habit' of rising in the morning and facing each day with a child-like spirit!

It just takes time, practise, and lots of courage and determination, to get to that point!

Have faith in your ability to achieve this worthwhile goal; and remember to feel grateful for the rewards that will come your way.

Yes, this can be one of our biggest personal challenges folks!
Most of us wish to see positive and peaceful change in our lives; and in the world in general; and like everything else in life .... it all begins within!

I remember being told about 15 years ago that the world is a reflection of my inner self; how I feel, and what I see around me every day, is simply a mirror image of me.

Hmmmmm .... at the time I completely resisted that possibility!

No way could I feel that bad about myself; or within myself; because what I saw ever day was horrid! Absolutely horrible!

This couldn't be a reflection of my inner self .... I thought. It took me about another 18 months to actually 'get it' - and begin to accept that I could begin to work on those aspects that were reflecting life back at me so brutally.

The best example of this principle of life is this: If you're in a bad mood while driving; what sort of experience do you have? If you're in a bad mood while looking for a parking space (anywhere) what happens? Yes - you'll experience every mongrel who ever drove a motor vehicle in a bad way .... all round you! You'll get every red light! And yes - you'll keep just missing car parking spaces until it drives you to park illegally - and then you'll get a parking ticket! This NOT a maybe; it is guaranteed! Every time!

So - take note and be that magic change you wish to see in others - and in the world itself.

It all begins within ....

Even though it sounds like hype; and just another one of those 'sayings'; this amazing Chinese wisdom is so true! If we take a look at most of our challenges - they will seem extremely daunting; unless we break them down to bite-sized chunks! Little pieces of life; that we need to address just one step at a time; one bite at a time!

How do you eat an elephant? One small bite at a time!

If we get confronted by a major challenge in life, and it simply looks or feels too darn big or overwhelming, then we will usually complete resist it - or totally avoid it!

However, if we can see it in small achievable chunks, then we will usually have a go at trying to do what we need to do, to get a positive outcome! Yes, we will at least have an attempt, regardless of how big the

challenge (and the time-frame) actually are!

In short, you CAN do it; so have a go; the worst thing that can happen is that you will learn another lesson in life! And let's face it - life is about people ... and lessons; so go for it!

Every single journey begins with that first step!

Even the huge ones begin with just one step; pretty much a decision to try!

Every single accomplishment does begin with a choice; and that decision to try!

That decision to ‘try’ must be followed by a choice to actually ‘do’ something; a choice of taking action!

Trying .... and taking action; are two very different things! Remember that.

Example: Firstly, try to stand up; and now, actually stand up.

I rest my case ....

It is just too easy to set our sights on achievements that are easily do-able; as that way we are more likely to succeed.

All too often the fear of failure controls our ability to aim high.

Remember that if we do aim for the moon and miss, we still end up amongst the stars!

I have always loved that quote; it just makes sense!

Challenging but realistic! For me it takes away all the pressure of having to reach the moon first go.

Someone once said that “words are cheap”; and this message about Well Done being so much better than Well Said – fits into that space nicely.

We all need to stay aware that our words are taken as lightly by any listener as they wish to take them; but our actions are perceived as being something real and tangible to all observers!

Make sure to follow up your words with actions!

And by doing so you will gain the respect of those around you!

And respect is the foundation of ALL good relationships; as they are truly built upon the rock, and not the sand!

One of our biggest challenges in life is to believe in SELF!

To believe that we can do whatever we set out to do; and do it well.

So many of us have listened to our critics along the way; and learnt to believe that we are not worthy – nor are we capable! It is time to smash that belief if you are carrying it around with you; smash it - or simply put it down and walk away, leaving it to wallow in its own despair without you to feed it any longer.

Powerful stuff to actually realise this – and then let go of it.

Yes .... Attitude is everything!

Well .... almost everything.

If we take a positive attitude; add some faith in self; make some wise choices; and take some definite actions; then we’ve got a huge chance of achieving what we set out to do!

I am guessing that there are still a handful of people, who for their own reasons, want to respond, but haven't yet. C'mon, don't let pride or procrastination get in the way ... this is perfect for you ... and you'll feel so good if you 'quietly' share that information with me. Now ... perhaps ...

Sometimes, the Answers CAN be So Simple

Over the past year or so I've been getting to know one of my neighbours and his son.

The father - 65, and his son - 32. They both suffered a great loss nearly two years ago when they lost wife and mother to Motor Neurone Disease. They've battled with all of the usual roller-coaster ride of emotional turmoil; and have often been drowning in the depths of their individual, and combined grief.

The message today is NOT about the grief and loss, or the heartache and uncertainty experienced by these two men; but it IS about how a neighbour turned into a friend, by reaching out to them and offering them unconditional support, via a variety of very simple things.

A couple of days ago I posted these words in facebook: "If you want to feel happy, do something for yourself. If you want to feel fulfilled, do something for someone else".

Oh so true! For quite a while now I've been inviting the Dad to come walking with me; and getting a "no thanks mate" response, until the other day. He accepted, reluctantly at first, but he still came along for a walk by the beautiful channel which runs past the front of his house.

Persistence does pay off! And so can simplicity!

We've been for 5 or 6 walks now, and the instant change in how he feels because of that, is a delight to witness. Pure magic actually!

In the last week he has joined the same gym as me; the same recreation club; changed his whole attitude; and started talking about huge changes to his general lifestyle. Yes, something as simple as going for a walk, can change someone's life completely, and possibly forever!

So, I get to feel happy 'cos I'm going for my regular walks; and now have the added fulfillment of helping someone else as they walk with me!

In the middle of me writing this story Sue asked me about one of the bathroom wall fittings being loose, and could I please fix it at some stage. I went and did my best to re-tighten the tiny little screw that held this fitting together; but that didn't work, so I asked one of my neighbours to help me out.

Not a problem he says, and came over straight away.
He sat on the floor next to the fitting and turned his screwdriver one quarter of a turn, and the fitting was now completely fixed and re-tightened! Yep, I was only one quarter of a turn away from doing it myself! If only ... smiling ...

Was I embarassed? No way .... I got a good laugh out of it actually; but it was another example of 'sometimes, the answers can be simple', and often much more simple and easy than we think!

Stay well and I'll be back soon ...
A lot has happened to our world in the last 12 months.
Has your own world been changing lately? Maybe for longer than the last year?
And ... perhaps more than you would've liked it to .... ?
It certainly has been challenging for me; and lots of other people I know!

How are you doing as we head into the Christmas New Year period?
Are you comfortable with where you're at? Ready for a great 2012?

Christmas time and New Year are the absolute best times for some people ....
And, unfortunately, the worst times for so many others!

One of the most important things that has been strongly reinforced for me lately, is that we ALL need to have special 'go to' people in our lives! And sometimes, regardless of who we are, those people need to be Professionals. People who can give us the best guidance and support that we need!
Pride often gets in the way, and just won't let us reach out due to embarassment, or that feeling that we might be seen to be a failure.

We can NOT do it on our own; it's as simple as that!
Reaching out DOES take courage; especially that first step!

The bottom line is this ...
If you're feeling stuck, or alone; or not on the path you'd like to be on ... I'd like to help!
A good Coach and Mentor helps you change your life; or ... your business!

I'm looking to help a small, special, select group of people for 12 weeks: beginning 1st week in Dec.
It doesn't matter where you are located, because I've been able to guide people in over 50 countries, thanks to the wonders of the internet.

There are some worldwide testimonials at this link: Worldwide Testimonials

Once again: Could this be the perfect timing for you?
You might fit into one of the following situations ... (but it doesn't matter if you don't)

1. People who would give anything to be able to "Do Christmas Different"!
2. People who are feeling that they just aren't coping; and would like to!
3. People who are feeling disempowered or anxious; and want to change!
4. People who are feeling that they haven't quite matured into being a real Man or Woman (even though they've tried); and that a scared little inner-child is still adversely controlling their lives!
5. People who wish to enter 2012 refreshed and ready to go; ready to embrace it 100%!

I have created this opportunity to allow me to offer fully focused and intensive Coaching Sessions to a limited number of prospects. (in person, or via skype) Applications and their acceptance will be determined by your individual care and needs factors; and charges will also be set by your own financial circumstances. And that cost factor is my own MAJOR point of difference from other people!
... together with the ability to help you turn your life around of course!

Yes, you will help me to set the fees for this unique Coaching and Mentoring opportunity!

Okay, what will you get out of this?
Me as your Personal Coach and Mentor, sounding board, guide, and judgement-free friend; plus ...
*12 weeks of one-on-one support and challenging guidance;
*A comprehensive Life Questionaire (you get to keep as a referral guide for life);
*A one-on-one session with me each week; minimum of 30 mins (in person or on skype); and
*Email support during the week between our one-on-one sessions

Who might qualify for this opportunity?
Firstly, as I am not doing this 'just for the money', the fee will represent an investment in changing the quality of your life and lifestyle. Each package is for 90 days (12 weeks).

To be considered as a starter, you must agree to the following process ...
Step 1: You must complete an extensive Client Questionaire.
Step 2: We agree to a 90 day program.
Step 3: You agree to take responsibility, and total commitment, to give this your best shot!

In simple words… I won’t take you on unless I think it will work for you; and, you should only get involved if you are 100% committed to being challenged, for your own sake!

If you are interested in finding out more, then simply reply to this email.

The great news is this: if the response is such that I need to create a waiting list ... then I will.

If you can see yourself benefiting from working with me, someone who brings 30 years of experience to the table, and who has personally done the hard-yards, then take action and email me now.
I will get back to you as soon as possible so that we can get things happening.

So, now it's over to you…

out a special email with the intention of offering specialised Coaching
which will be focused on the Christmas Season, and preparation for
making 2012 your best year ever! So, if that sounds like a good idea,
please watch this space ...

Speaking of 2012 being almost here; so many people are feeling time poor; too much to do ...
This could help ...

Overwhelmed .... ???

Do you have so much to do that it seems overwhelming?

Then stop thinking about how much there is, and start getting it done; one small bit at a time.

Feeling overwhelmed is merely a state of mind that you choose.

And just as easily as you can choose it, you can choose to let it go.

A new day, new month, new year dawns: and it can make you feel like time is quickly slipping away.

But in fact, time comes to you just as quickly as it moves past.

And that means that each moment you get the opportunity to make a difference.

Each moment, the best thing you can do is to make full and meaningful use of that moment.

That is how you get things done.

Moment by moment, little by little, small tasks build into great accomplishments.

And those accomplishments then convert into a life with real fulfilment.

You don't have to tackle everything all at once.

Just do what you can, when you can, filling each moment with positive purpose and action.

And what once seemed overwhelming will quickly become a source of real and lasting fulfilment.

Remember this: Q: How do you eat an elephant? A: One small bite at a time!
